About North American Alpaca Company
North American Alpaca Company is owned by Bill and Jacquie Joner. Bill hails from a farming family, dairy and beef ranching. Dairy is possibly one of the most labor-intensive farm jobs. When we looked at Alpacas as a business, we were amazed at how little it takes to care for them! They graze and sleep. Their cria generally are born without any assistance from humans. The alpaca was perfect for a "slowing-down" life. Bill had been a builder/developer for many years and felt it was time for partial retirement. There is very little work involved in caring for alpacas, and these creatures are simply lovely to be around.
We are entrepreneurial folks. We have started and sold a number of businesses in the past. Now we have turned our attention to helping others get started in the alpaca farming business, and continuing to support them as they grow. We want to show others just how rewarding it can be to run an alpaca farm!
About the Elite Alpacas at Our Washington State Farm
North American Alpaca Company's initial herd is made up of Accoyos and Hemiccoyos, along with Peruvian and Chilean alpacas. Most of our alpacas are direct descendents of two of the most well-known and celebrated alpaca sires, Hemingway and Caligula. Forgive the name-dropping, but it’s a must when your alpacas come from such rich and exciting bloodlines.

Our very own full Accoyo sire, UltraBronz, is carrying on the tradition of quality, producing offspring with exceptional quality of fleece. Thor, the son of fawn full Accoyo UltraBronz and Hemiccoyo Tanisha, surpasses all expectations with his fleece. Other alpacas in our herd you will want to know about include our Black Hills Gold, fathered by champion MFI Oil Slick with champion MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite as grandfather and champion 4Peruvian Matador 6030 as great grandfather. There is also RCA Hemiccoyo Adam whose sire is Peruvian Canadar and grandfather is Hemingway. Adam's fleece is amazing in crimp, shine and harvest weight.
Our females also come with good pedigrees. Consider Hemiccoyo Tanisha and Hemiccoyo Hattie. They are daughters of Peruvian Hakuna Matata and granddaughters of Hemingway. Many in our line have similar family trees. Hemiccoyo Janelle's is a granddaughter of Hemingway and her sire is 4Peruvian Pachacuti 6011. She has already proven herself with winning cria.
